Do you love working with people - both colleagues and customer...? And are you cooler than a cucumber when things get busy...?
If your answer to these questions is YES, then WE NEED YOU! We're looking for a Chef for our super lovely Green Dragon team.
It gets really kind busy round here on Fridays and Saturdays so you'll need to be prepared to work hard with good humour and keep a smile on your face.
Previous hospitality / kitchen experience essential. You will be cooking and preparing meals from our menu plus creating daily specials.
We're seeking an experienced and energetic Chef for our busy kitchen who can communicate to a high standard and can work efficiently and effectively within a team.
The ideal candidate will already have experience working within a kitchen and possess the right set of skills to be self aware and will be responsible for preparing/cooking meals that satisfy our clientele to ensure they leave with a sense of wanting more.
Additionally you will be organised, reliable and who can work on their own initiative with a flexible and can do attitude.
Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with the head chef to allow smooth running of the day to day service of the business.
  • Prepare/cook food to exceptional standard whilst adhering to the health and safety guidelines.
  • Control temperatures to ensure a safe and controlled environment within the kitchen.
  • Have sufficent knowledge and experience within the industry.
  • Being able to adapt to customers specific dietary needs/requirements.
This is a part time position on Friday & Saturday from 11am to 9pm (10 hours daily)
£14-15 per hour dependent on experience.
Some Wednesdays and Thursdays to provide holiday cover.
Free staff meal and business wide staff discount.

Kitchen Porter Role

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Kitchen Porter.
As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the restaurant and hospitality industry to gain valuable experience and grow their career.
Duties:
  • Assist with food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the kitchen staff
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, and pans
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment
  • Dispose of rubbish and recycling properly
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe working environment
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not required
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is a plus
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
